Elusive (Like The Moon)

Moonlight will shine so bright. 

But come a storm, it's a cold dark night.  

Moonlight reminds me of you,

So beautiful, but gone too soon.

You are elusive like the moon,

As fleeting as a butterfly in June,

When those clouds roll in, where are you?

Just when I need you the most, 

You vanish with the smoke,

You are elusive, elusive,  elusive… 

Like the moon.   

Moonlight will light the way  

Then suddenly fade away

Moonlight, I won't count on you,

To share the dawn to see me through.
