Rain in the Desert

Have you ever felt Arizona at 120 degrees?

In the desert without water you could die from the heat.

But it's wonderful when the weather turns,

Everything is changed.

The sky lights up, the water falls, and a dying heart is saved.

You're like rain in the desert.

     Beautiful rain.

A cloud that opens wide and fills my empty sky.

'Cause I'm comin' out of a long hard drought,

You're like rain in the desert to me.

Yes, my world was so dry, just a dead barren land,

But you made it come alive like blossoms in the sand,

And suddenly, it's all shining hues and a rainbow too,

Yes, I'm feeling those colors, and it's all because of you.

     My rain in the desert,

     Beautiful rain.

A cloud that opens wide and fills my empty sky.

'Cause I'm comin' out of a long hard drought,

You're like rain in the desert to me.

You are just what I need.

Pour down on me.

     Rain,

     Beautiful rain.

A cloud that opens wide and fills my empty sky.

I'm out,  out of that drought,

     You're like rain...

     Rain in the desert.
